Dr. Kurt Meininger provides cost-effective, quick and easy DOT physicals to smooth your path to certification and get you back on the road without delay. What to expect at your DOT Physical: - We’ll have you fill out the DOT Medical Examination Report with “Driver Information” and “Health History” sections completed.
- Dr. Meininger will perform an examination, including:
- Review of your health history
- Urine testing (testing for blood, sugar, specific gravity and protein).
- A simple physical exam
- Dr. Meininger will complete your Medical Examination Report for Commercial Driver Fitness Determination, give you a summary of your exam and provide a Medical Examiner’s Certificate as appropriate.
- We also can send a copy of the report to your employer at your request.
- You or your company is responsible for the cost. Insurance is not accepted for this service.
Our office offers your employees little to no-waiting time, a professional and clean atmosphere and the highest standard of care. We apply the strict standards of the DOT to each physical examination. Occasionally we will find a deviation from the DOT standards, and will refer the driver to a primary care physician for specific written follow-up (e.g., blood pressure treatment, vision correction, diabetes management, etc.). Available On-site: In addition to scheduling DOT physicals at our office, Monday through Thursday, Dr. Meininger is also available on Friday and Saturday to come to your business location and perform on-site DOT physicals for 5 or more employees. DOT (Split-Test) Drug Testing and Non-DOT Drug Testing:A split-screen test is the one the DOT requires. For pre-employments and random drug testing, you have the option to utilize the non-DOT eScreen drug testing system. (See information below). Although DOT requires a (split-test) drug test to be mailed to the lab, Dr. Meininger can enter the information into the eScreen system which will speed the reporting process. In this way, DOT drug testing results are reported to you on a secure web-site through eScreen and negative results will be available within 24-36 hours. The eScreen web page will produce the statistics report you need for the DOT’s satisfaction and your company’s satisfaction. Discounted Fees: In-Office and/or On-Site:- DOT Physical Exams: $50.00
